Hi, I’ m Helen and welcome to my website.  

I’m a fully qualified celebrant with Rites and Rituals Scotland. I firmly believe  that the art of ceremony  can be  a cathartic experience to mark and make sense of  life’s important events, be that a joyful wedding ceremony, welcoming a new wee life into the family, or saying a fond farewell to a loved one. 

I bring not only formal training, but also a genuine love for listening and storytelling. I believe everyone’s story deserves to be honoured with care, warmth, and a touch of creativity. 

My own journey led me to becoming a celebrant after years spent working  with vulnerable people in the fields of homelessness,  and latterly in  child protection.  These experiences helped shape my perspective on  resilience, compassion and  the importance of human connection, and is woven through my ceremonial work, making sure everyone feels seen, heard and valued. No matter who you love, your story is welcome here, and I’m here to ensure your ceremony feels truly personal, heartfelt, and full of joy.  Oh, and a good dollop of humour is important too!

I call the lovely village of Houston, Renfrewshire my home, and I’m always delighted to welcome new faces and stories into my life. Meeting people is one of the greatest delights  of this work—I love  hearing about what matters to you and finding ways to make your ceremony feel truly personal.
